Everyone at Southern Nevada Music is dedicated to music education and encouraging the enjoyment of music in our lives. Especially the children. Music education for a child is so very important! We will do whatever it takes to put a wonderful piano in the home for a child to learn on.

It's been proven that children with a music background do better at math and science and have a much greater chance at advancement in life because of the "work and then the reward" habit that they have picked up from music lessons.

If you played piano when you were young you might remember learning a special song and then playing it in front of your friends and relatives. Did they clap? Didn't you feel good about putting in a few extra hours so you could get that special reward of approval?

That same psychological precedent carries over into education. Now the student knows that if he or she puts in a couple of extra hours doing a school project they will be rewarded for their efforts.

72% of the presidents of the United States played some kind of musical instrument. Richard Nixon played piano on the tonight show! Abraham Lincoln owned a Chickering piano. Bill Clinton played Saxophone. As a matter of fact, the White House has always had a Steinway piano in it. It is the only consumer product that has the name still prominently displayed on it . (Usually, products at the White House have the names removed or covered up)
